National News: Reports have emerged of unusual military activity along the India-Pakistan border amid growing tension. According to sources, Pakistani tanks and armored vehicles have been spotted moving in the Mirpur-Kotli, Chamb, and Sialkot sectors.

Increased Tank Movement Observed

Local sources and monitoring reports indicate that tank movements have increased in the areas under Pakistan’s 23rd and 111th Brigades in the past 24 hours. Some videos circulating on social media show Pakistani tanks and trucks moving along roads near the border. However, Pakistan has not yet issued any official statement regarding this movement.

Possible Reasons Behind the Activity

Defense sources suggest that this may be a routine drill, but given the current geopolitical situation and rising instability in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), Indian security agencies are closely monitoring the situation. Recent protests and the economic crisis in PoK have reportedly raised concerns for the Pakistani army. Military analysts also believe this deployment could be an attempt to send a message and divert attention from internal unrest. Areas like Chamb and Sialkot, linked to the 1965 and 1971 wars, have historically been strategically important.

India’s Preparedness on the Border

Indian security agencies have heightened vigilance along the border. Sources say surveillance equipment has been activated at forward posts, and forces are ready to respond immediately to any sudden moves. Defense experts maintain that the situation is currently under control, but India is fully prepared to give a “strong and decisive response” in case of any provocative actions.
